Did you know you can access a vast array of useful investment information on The Investing Times Online website?
As part of your subscription to ‘Investing Times’ you are provided with access to the Investing Times website which provides such useful information as: archived Investing Times articles, market and economic reports, managed fund and direct share research and company announcement information. All subscribers are provided with logon instructions with their subscription receipt and first newsletter.

Market Reports
For those of you who like to keep up-to-date with the moves in the market throughout the day, the market reports section will be of great use.
By simply clicking on the MARKET REPORTS section on the front page of the website you will be provided with access to both Australian and international stock market reports.
The international market reports provide updates of any important economic events or releases of financial data across the world as well as a snap shop of the state of the larger international markets.
The Australian market reports are released three times daily, morning, midday and in the afternoon and provide a commentary on such issues as commodity prices, big movers in the market and the Australian economy as a whole.
Company Announcements
When it comes to investing in direct shares it is extremely important that you have access to all information released by the companies that you invest in. This is where the Company Announcements section can be very useful.
By simply clicking on the EQUITIES tab located at the top of the front page and selecting the COMPANY ANNOUNCEMENTS section you will have access to important data released by all companies listed on the ASX.
Among other things you will be provided with such information as Annual General Meetings, changes in directors / majority shareholders, announcements of dividends, legitimate takeover offers and up-to-date business reports.
Managed Funds
When it comes to managed funds it is easy to just invest and forget. However there are so many options out there that it pays to be aware of what your funds are doing to make sure you aren’t being left behind.
In order to help you to be more aware of how your managed funds are performing, Investing Times Online provides a number of useful features to assist you.
A simple click on ‘FUNDS’ at the top of the home page will give you the option to research funds, graph and compare their performance to similar funds or the relevant index using the ‘GRAPHS’ function.
The ‘FUND SEARCH’ option gives you the ability to tailor your search in great detail making it easy for you to identify existing and potential investments for comparison.
‘INDEX GRAPHS’ enables you to select and view the performance of a vast array of market indices.
These easily accessible features allow you to evaluate the performance of your managed funds and invest better as a result.

Share Watchlists
When it comes to Australian equities it can be quite difficult and time consuming to keep track of the share price performance of each of your current shareholdings or companies that you are following. This is where the Watchlist section of the Investing Times Online website can come in handy. By simply clicking on the ‘EQUITIES’ and ‘WATCHLIST’ tabs on the home page you will be able to create your own watchlists and follow the performance of any companies you wish.
Equity Research
In addition to being able to follow the performance of your Australian shareholdings Online allows you to research current and prospective companies and gain access to all kinds of useful information. By simply typing in the companies name or ASX Code in the search bar on the home page you are provided with access to a basic company report, a detailed company profile including recent sales and acquisitions, an intrinsic valuation report, consolidated financial statements and distribution history.
The Investing Times Archive, Historical Data and Portfolios
Do you want to view a previous copy of Investing Times but can’t seem to find it? Search no more. By simply clicking onto the ‘NEWSLETTER ARCHIVE’ tab located at the top of the home page you are provided with a full archive of all issues of Investing Times since the beginning of 2002 in Adobe PDF format.
In addition, by clicking on the Article Index at the top of the page you will be provided with an INDEX of all the articles that have been published. This tool is obviously quite useful when you are trying to find a particular article that has been published in the past, and is a lot easier than scanning through all the previous issues one at a time.
‘PORTFOLIOS’ has the 6 weekly updated table for the Investing Times Long Term Share Recommendations and the annually updated Defensive Share Portfolio.
‘HISTORICAL DATA’ includes explanations about the Long Term Graph and Zone System included in each issue of the newsletter, the latest review of the Defensive Share Portfolio as well as other financial and investment information.
